Wine maker notes: The 2012 vintage was exceptionally hot and dry which allowed ideal ripening and complexity in our estate vineyard. The grapes were harvested in late September. The final blend, aged in stainless steel, is crafted with 85% traditionally vinted Riesling and 15% appassimento Riesling. The stainless steel maintains the fresh fruit complexity of this elegant wine.
Grape Variety/Blend: 100% Riesling
Tasting Note: This wine is a light golden yellow colour. On the nose there is sweet ripe melon and citrus notes with a hint of minerality. The palate gives an impression of sweetness together with a vibrant acidity, ripe citrus and beautiful minerality on the mid-palate, and a long, complex finish with notes of key lime pie.
Food Pairing: Great on its own and pairs naturally with grilled white fish, fresh oysters, trout, pork roasts, and spaetzle.
