Winemaker Notes: A blend of Chardonnay from Mesnil sur Oger (55%) and Pinot Noir from Montigny (45%). Raised 10 months in 225-Litre oak barrels and without malolactic fermentation. Aging for 8 years on the lees in the cellar. The finesse of the Chardonnay match perfectly the generosity and complexity of the Pinot Noir. Final highlighted with a light dosage (6 g/liter) for a well-balanced cuvée. Disgorgement on 04/2019.
Tasting Notes: Nose of red fruits (redcurrant and raspberry) with a spicy touch (ginger); then baked apple, hay and fresh aromatic herbs (verbena, chamomile). The palate is rich, powerful and full. It is very winey with a dense and ripe but fresh texture. The bubble is fine. The wine passes, it is true, more in force than in smoothness but remains elegant during most of the sequences of tasting. It will become more massive over time at the end of the mouth without being particularly disturbing. Great length with an oxidative touch associated with the fruit. Excellent champagne for meals, quite impressive, which perhaps lacks a little sparkle and verticality in pure tasting, unlike the "Jardins du Mesnil" cuvée.
