Wine maker notes: THE VINES have been approx. 12-42 years old and are cultivated in a dense of around 4.000 vines/ha. To profit from the rising ground-heat and to reach a high foliage-wall we use a trellis training system at about 60-90 cm and apply the guyot cutting system. THE HARVEST took place by the mid / end of October at 22°KMW, picked by hand with a small, well-trained team, which selected the grapes directly in the vineyard. IN THE CELLAR the grapes have been squeezed and must was fermented with automatic temperature-control at 25°C for 20 days in stainless steel tanks with pumping over. Storage took place at Barriques, after 18 months thee wine was bottled in Burgundy-bottles in our cellar.
Tasting notes: Dark purple; dark fruit with tender smokey tones in the nose, plum jam; elegant and powerful with a fulminant pressure on the palate. Good structured, an idea of chocolate and elegant tannines. Fruity and a creamy-tender character, wonderful lenght.
